Ahead of the final season of Stranger Things, Netflix has teamed up with Instamart to introduce InstaStrange, a limited-edition gesture-controlled online store. Fans can browse and buy exclusive merchandise using hand movements, mirroring the show’s telekinesis theme.
A digital campaign featuring creators like Sahil Cylinder, Mukesh Kumar Sir, Fauxy and Carrom King builds excitement, styled as a quirky breaking-news segment leading to the reveal of the gesture-based store.
“We wanted fans to feel like they’re part of the Stranger Things universe, not just watching it,” said Mayur Hola, head of brand at Swiggy. “Shopping with hand gestures makes the experience fun, strange and immersive.”
Poornima Sharma, head of marketing partnerships at Netflix India, added that the collaboration brings the show’s spirit of imagination and friendship into the real world.
The activation will also go offline with a telekinesis-themed zone at DLF CyberHub, Gurugram, featuring merchandise, installations and interactive experiences for fans.
