LinkedIn has appointed Heather Hopkins Freeland as its first Chief Brand Officer, where she will lead global Brand and Consumer Marketing.
Freeland joins from Adobe, where she was Chief Brand Officer (2022–2025). She earlier spent over seven years at Meta as Head of Global Marketing Communications, founded its in-house agency The Guild, and held senior roles at Lyft, Digitas, MTV Networks Digital, and Gilt City.
Sharing the news on LinkedIn, she said she has long admired the platform and even landed her role at Lyft through a LinkedIn job post.
Based in Menlo Park, California, Freeland holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, a degree from the University of Virginia, and serves on Spotify’s Marketing Advisory Council and Ridge Ventures’ CMO Advisory Council.
