Havas has acquired independent media agency Kaimera, marking a key milestone in strengthening its presence across Australia and New Zealand. The move brings additional scale, specialist capabilities and will accelerate the rollout of Converged.AI, Havas’ AI-powered strategy and operating system. Under the new structure, the agency will operate as “Kaimera, a Havas Company.”

Founded in 2016, Kaimera has grown into a 50+ member agency with teams in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, working with clients including Nando’s, IMB Bank, Afterpay, BritBox and Scape. The leadership team, led by founders Nick Behr and Trent McMillan, will continue to oversee operations and report to James Wright, Group CEO of Havas ANZ. With this addition, Havas ANZ now expands to more than 450 employees.

The acquisition aligns with Havas ANZ’s recently introduced positioning, “Deliberately Different,” reflecting its commitment to investing in growth, talent and innovation across the region. Havas Group CEO Yannick Bolloré and James Wright both emphasized the strategic value of Kaimera’s expertise in driving stronger client outcomes and supporting the group’s long-term ambition.

Kaimera CEO Nick Behr stated that joining Havas will provide the agency with greater resources, technology and scale especially in AI while preserving its culture and client-first approach. He added that the partnership opens doors for future growth across Australia, New Zealand and global markets.
