Air India Express has officially joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA), marking a big step in its global growth journey. The membership shows the airline’s commitment to the highest international standards in safety, operations, and customer service. IATA represents around 350 airlines across 120 countries, covering more than 80% of global air traffic. To become a member, airlines must pass the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), which requires meeting over 900 strict safety and operational standards. Air India Express has been IOSA certified since 2017, and this membership now strengthens its global recognition.
With this move, Air India Express can actively shape global airline policies, access worldwide partnerships, and expand its reach through IATA-accredited travel agents. The airline currently operates a fleet of 115 aircraft, flying over 500 daily flights to 41 domestic and 17 international destinations across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. As India’s fastest-growing airline, joining IATA not only boosts its international presence but also assures passengers of safe, reliable, and world-class travel experiences.
