Freedom Sunflower Oil has rolled out a new campaign titled Coaching the Coach, featuring Rahul Dravid, to raise awareness about misleading edible oil packaging. Using a playful comparison between cricket’s DRS (Decision Review System) and a PRS (Pack Review System), the campaign urges consumers to check the quantity printed on oil pouches before buying.

As per government regulation, a 1-litre pouch must contain 910 grams of sunflower oil. However, some brands sell look-alike 1-litre packs with only 800–870 grams. The campaign encourages buyers to flip the pouch, verify the net quantity and ensure they are paying for the correct measure.

Freedom Sunflower Oil highlights that every pouch contains the mandated 910 grams and undergoes 101 quality checks to ensure purity and efficiency in cooking.

Speaking about the initiative, the company’s marketing leaders emphasised the importance of consumer awareness and transparency, reinforcing the brand’s message:
“Oil should be less in the food not in the pack.”
