Techno Paints and Chemicals has announced the appointment of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar as its brand ambassador for the next three years. With this association, the company aims to accelerate its national expansion plans after establishing a strong presence in the domestic paints market over the past 25 years across eight states.
Chairman Akuri Srinivas Reddy expressed confidence in the partnership, saying, “We are honoured to collaborate with one of the world’s most iconic cricketers and Bharat Ratna, Sachin Tendulkar. As we work toward expansion and an IPO, no one could be a better ambassador or growth partner for us.”
Techno Paints had previously signed actor Mahesh Babu as brand ambassador in 2023, who represented the company for two years.
Reddy confirmed that the company will file its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) in 2026–27, with plans to raise ₹500 crore through an IPO in the same financial year.
Techno Paints reported revenue of ₹210 crore in 2024–25 and expects to touch ₹450 crore this year. The company is targeting ₹2,000 crore in revenue by 2029–30.
Reddy highlighted the opportunity in India’s ₹90,000-crore paint industry, which is growing at 5–9% annually. While global per capita paint consumption averages 15 litres, India stands at just 4.5 litres indicating significant room for expansion.
Techno Paints manufactures decorative, industrial and specialty paints, and has a strong foothold in texture finishes and construction chemicals. With over 3,000 decorative shades, the company operates an R&D centre in Hyderabad and a manufacturing facility at Pashamylaram.
Currently present in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Odisha, and Chandigarh, the brand plans to expand into Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh by year-end. It also expects to enter the Middle East market in 2026–27.
