Omnicom and Interpublic have secured antitrust approval from Australia’s Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), marking the 14th of 18 clearances needed for their proposed merger. The ACCC ruled the deal unlikely to harm competition, citing continued market presence of rivals like WPP, Publicis, and Dentsu.
This follows key approvals from regulators including the U.S. FTC—which imposed conditions to avoid political content bias—and India’s Competition Commission. The merger remains on track for completion in the second half of 2025.
