The Pioneer has named veteran journalist Deepak Kumar Jha as its new Executive Editor. With 21 years of experience, much of it at The Pioneer, Jha steps into the role during a key transition period following the passing of former Editor Dr. Chandan Mitra. Jha has a strong background in political reporting and investigative journalism, having covered every General Election since 2004 and earned recognition for exposing key national issues. He is also a recipient of the FICCI Journalism Award and has held advisory roles in media and social sectors. His appointment marks a new chapter in strengthening the publication’s editorial legacy.
