Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has finalized its acquisition of Juniper Networks, a leader in AI-native networking, significantly boosting its position in the AI and hybrid cloud markets. This move doubles the size of HPE’s networking business, strengthens its cloud-native and AI-driven portfolio, and expands its total addressable market.

Juniper’s former CEO, Rami Rahim, will lead the combined HPE Networking division. The integration enhances HPE’s offerings across data centers, firewalls, routers, and secure AI-native networks, aiming to simplify complex connectivity for customers managing hybrid AI workloads.

The deal, announced in January 2024 and approved in April, is expected to be immediately accretive to HPE’s earnings and contribute over 50% of total operating income. Juniper’s stock will no longer be listed on the NYSE following the transaction’s close.
