iQOO has appointed 25-year-old Mumbai-based esports coach Vedang Vikas Chavan as its new Chief Gaming Officer (CGO) after a nationwide contest that attracted over 80,000 entries from 400+ cities. Chavan emerged as the winner after rigorous rounds assessing gameplay, knowledge, and communication skills. He will receive a prize of ₹10 lakh and collaborate with iQOO to enhance its gaming strategy and connect with the esports community.

A former chess prodigy turned gamer, Vedang has represented India at global tournaments and coached grassroots teams to success. His story reflects perseverance and passion, values aligned with iQOO’s brand ethos. The CGO 2.0 jury included iQOO CEO Nipun Marya, Rannvijay Singha, Payal Gaming, and 8bit Thug.

Additionally, iQOO has named Harshvardhan, a three-time Nodwin Gaming Talent Hunt winner, as its official caster to further boost its esports initiatives. The CGO initiative underscores iQOO’s commitment to nurturing India’s gaming talent and strengthening its position in the mobile gaming space.
