Dentsu has appointed Sumit Kohli as Head of Investment for Asia-Pacific, reinforcing its focus on strategic media investments and accountability across the region.
Kohli joins from Publicis Media, where he spent over a decade in senior roles, most recently contributing to the development of investment frameworks across APAC. His work there focused on driving consistency, governance, and performance-led planning across multiple markets.
In his new role at Dentsu, Kohli will be based in Singapore and will lead investment strategy across APAC. He will focus on aligning media buying with business outcomes, enhancing cost efficiencies, and strengthening partnerships with platforms and publishers in an increasingly complex media landscape.
His appointment comes at a time when the industry is shifting from volume-driven buying to more disciplined, outcome-focused approaches, with greater emphasis on transparency and measurable returns.
With experience spanning India and Southeast Asia, Kohli has worked on global brands such as Coca-Cola, Samsung, Mars-Wrigley, and LVMH, bringing strong expertise in negotiation, digital investment, and multi-market planning.
Earlier in his career, he held roles at MediaCom, VivaKi, and MEC, building a strong foundation across both planning and buying functions.
