Titan Company Limited has announced the appointment of Sandhya Venugopal Sharma, IAS, as Chairperson and Additional Director on its Board, with effect from January 4, 2026. The appointment follows a nomination by Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDCO), a co-promoter of the company, and was approved by Titan’s Board through a circular resolution passed on December 29, 2025.
Sharma will take over the role of Chairperson from the incumbent, who will continue to serve as a Director on the Board. She has been appointed as a Non-Executive, Non-Independent Additional Director and will be liable to retire by rotation, in line with statutory requirements.
A 1995-batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, Sharma brings with her extensive experience across public administration, industrial development, education, finance and science administration. Most recently, she served on central deputation with the Department of Space, holding the positions of Joint Secretary and later Additional Secretary in Bengaluru between April 2019 and October 2025, where she was involved in key national space and science initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Sharma led large-scale public programmes, including serving as State Project Director for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan during her deputation to the Government of Karnataka. She has also held several senior roles within the Tamil Nadu government, including Commissioner (Archives and Historical Research), along with assignments across departments such as Commercial Taxes, Education and the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, as well as district-level postings.
Titan Company confirmed in its regulatory disclosure that Sharma is not related to any Director, Key Managerial Personnel or Promoters of the company, and that she is not debarred by SEBI or any other authority from holding directorships in listed entities.
