Seasoned news broadcaster Sumit Awasthi has taken on a new role at Times Now Navbharat as Senior Consulting Editor. His appointment comes shortly after he stepped down from his position at NDTV, where he served as Consulting Editor for over two years and hosted programmes such as Hum Bharat Ke Log and Khabron Ki Khabar.

With nearly 25 years of experience in television journalism, Awasthi is widely recognised for his deep understanding of Indian politics and impactful storytelling. Before NDTV, he held senior leadership roles at major news networks, including Vice President (News & Production) at ABP News and Deputy Managing Editor at Network18. His earlier stints also include editorial roles at Zee News and Aaj Tak.

Awasthi’s journalistic contributions have been acknowledged with multiple accolades, including the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award, the Madhav Jyoti Award, and recognition from the ENBA Awards.

His move to Times Now Navbharat marks another significant milestone in his broadcasting career as the network continues to strengthen its editorial bench.
