MakeMyTrip has partnered with Zomato to offer train passengers meals delivered directly to their seats at over 130 stations, with access to 40,000+ restaurant partners. The initiative builds on the rising demand for e-catering, which saw 90,000 daily users in FY 2024–25, a 66% year-on-year increase.

Through its ‘Food on Train’ service, MakeMyTrip uses its Live Train Status tool to help travellers order at the right time, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Early responses to the soft launch have been positive, and the company plans targeted campaigns to expand adoption.

As a Diwali special, passengers booking via MakeMyTrip will receive complimentary food coupons redeemable on Zomato. The collaboration enhances MakeMyTrip’s wider tech-led train travel offerings—ranging from seat locks and free cancellations to live updates—while Zomato continues to scale its e-catering, having already fulfilled 4.6 million+ train food orders nationwide.
