VML has appointed Sanjiv Mistry as Executive Creative Director, bringing nearly two decades of creative leadership experience. Previously at McCann London, he led award-winning global campaigns for Microsoft and Reckitt, including Xbox projects like The Everyday Tactician and The Fanchise Model. His work has been widely celebrated, with Survival Billboard named one of LBB’s Ads of the Decade.
Ranked No.1 ECD in the UK and No.5 globally in the 2024 Cannes Creativity Report, Mistry is known for culturally resonant, impactful ideas. VML’s Chief Creative Officer, Ryan McManus, praised his ability to create memorable work that drives results.
Mistry has also held roles at Ogilvy Cape Town and began his career as a copywriter at The Jupiter Drawing Room. He holds degrees in Law and English from South African universities.
