The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has fined VLCC ₹3 lakh for misleading ads promoting CoolSculpting and slimming treatments as weight-loss solutions.

The regulator found VLCC’s claims—like “drop one size in one hour” and “lose up to 600g in one session”—to be exaggerated and beyond the US-FDA’s actual approval, which limits CoolSculpting to localized fat reduction, not permanent weight loss.

The penalty follows a similar action against Kaya Limited, as CCPA continues to crack down on false advertising in the beauty and slimming sector.
