MRSI’s webinar “Health and Wellness Paradigm: No Longer a Bitter Pill” (20 Aug 2025) highlighted how wellness in India is evolving from illness prevention to a joyful lifestyle of self-care, fitness, and balance.

Speakers noted that while health awareness is rising, Indians prioritize lifestyle habits like sleep, mindful eating, and family time over preventive care. Gauri Pathak flagged concerns on diabetes, obesity, and low digital health adoption, showing a gap between awareness and action.

Sidharth Chaturvedi described the cultural shift from fear-driven health to playful, personalized wellness, calling it the “FMCGification of health.” Charu Mullick emphasized Fast-Moving Consumer Healthcare (FMCH), with demand for holistic, natural, and personalized solutions accelerated post-COVID.

National Pickleball coach Vijayshankar Menon linked the sport to holistic wellness, citing its inclusivity, low injury risk, and rapid growth in India.

Overall, the session underlined that health in India is no longer a burden but an aspirational, accessible, and enjoyable way of life.
