Nectar360, operator of the UK’s largest loyalty programme, Nectar, has added FareShare—the country’s leading food redistribution charity—to its coalition. The partnership enables members to earn Nectar points by donating to FareShare or to convert their points into meals for people in need.
The initiative builds on Sainsbury’s long-standing collaboration with FareShare and allows customers to earn 10 points per £1 donated, plus a 300-point quarterly bonus for setting up regular donations. It broadens the ways 24 million Nectar members can earn and spend points while supporting communities.
FareShare redistributes surplus food to over 8,000 charities across the UK, helping provide meals for vulnerable groups. Nectar360’s Managing Director Amir Rasekh said the partnership adds value for customers and partners, while FareShare CEO Kris Gibbon-Walsh noted it will help raise awareness and expand the charity’s reach amid growing food insecurity.
The move follows Nectar360’s recent tie-up with Marriott Bonvoy, joining existing partners like British Airways, Esso, Eurostar, and American Express.
