Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to build a dedicated AI-focused cloud region in Jamnagar, powered by Reliance’s green energy and connected through Jio’s digital network.

The facility, built by Reliance to Google Cloud’s global specifications, will support high-performance AI workloads for enterprises, startups, developers, SMBs, and the public sector. Google Cloud will provide its AI hypercomputer, generative AI models, development platform, and AI-powered applications, while Jio will deliver high-capacity fiber connectivity to major metros.

Mukesh Ambani said the partnership aims to “democratize intelligence for every Indian,” similar to how Jio and Google earlier democratized internet access. Sundar Pichai added that this collaboration builds on a decade of partnership to help shape India’s AI future.
