Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, has entered the fast-growing healthy functional beverages market by acquiring a majority stake in a joint venture with Naturedge Beverages. The move strengthens RCPL’s vision of becoming a Total Beverage Company, offering consumers herbal and natural drinks that combine Ayurveda with modern formats.
Founded in 2018 by Siddhesh Sharma of the Baidyanath Group, Naturedge’s flagship brand Shunya is a zero-sugar, zero-calorie functional beverage infused with Indian super herbs like Ashwagandha, Brahmi, Khus, Kokum, and Green Tea. With this partnership, RCPL aims to scale Shunya into a pan-India brand, leveraging its distribution network to meet rising demand for health-focused beverages. Both companies emphasized their commitment to innovation, accessibility, and promoting India’s Ayurvedic heritage through contemporary consumer choices.
