Senior journalist Anurag Dwary has joined Dainik Bhaskar as Social Media Editor and will be based in Bhopal. His appointment follows his recent resignation from NDTV, where he spent nearly two decades and most recently served as Executive Editor for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. With nearly 25 years of experience in journalism, Dwary has built a career covering politics, governance, social issues and major national developments.

Over the past decade, Dwary focused extensively on Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, reporting on political developments, governance, grassroots issues and social change. Before taking charge of coverage in the two states, he spent around a decade reporting from Maharashtra, where his assignments included elections, terror attacks, High Court proceedings, politics and social movements.

His reporting experience also spans elections across several states, including Gujarat, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand. In addition to domestic political and social coverage, Dwary has worked on major national stories and international assignments, including reporting from Sri Lanka during the Cricket World Cup.

Among his notable assignments was NDTV’s Monsoon Express series, for which he undertook a nearly two-month road journey from the Northeast to Punjab, reporting on developments and stories from different parts of the country. He has also written scripts for several NDTV special programmes featuring actors such as Amitabh Bachchan and Manoj Bajpayee.

Dwary’s move to Dainik Bhaskar marks a new chapter in his journalism career, bringing his extensive reporting experience across politics, governance and social affairs to the publication’s digital and social media operations.
