Coca-Cola has appointed Luis Felipe Avellar as president of its Africa operating unit, effective September 1, succeeding Luisa Ortega, who will lead the Europe unit.
Currently president of Coca-Cola Mexico, Avellar previously served as vice president and general manager for Southern Africa. With a career at Coca-Cola since 2002 spanning leadership roles across Brazil, Southern Africa, and Mexico, he brings deep market expertise. He will be based in Johannesburg and report to EVP and COO Henrique Braun.
