Nokia has partnered with Netplus, one of India’s fastest-growing ISPs, to deploy 400G routing technology and a software-defined access network (SDAN) platform, enabling high-speed broadband and advanced IPTV services across Punjab and other cities. The upgrade will serve nearly two million users, improving service quality, energy efficiency, and scalability.

The deployment supports Netplus’ shift from linear TV to on-demand IPTV while powering high-bandwidth applications like e-commerce and digital learning. Using Nokia’s 7250 IXR routers, 7750 SR gateway, and SDAN-based PON platform with Altiplano and Lightspan OLT, the new architecture delivers automation, diagnostics, and orchestration for faster rollouts and long-term reliability.

Netplus said the collaboration will enhance customer experience and energy efficiency, while Nokia emphasized that the network lays the foundation for India’s next-gen broadband and IPTV ecosystem.
