JLL India has appointed Gaurav Sharma as Head of Hotels & Hospitality Group, India, and Senior Director, Hotel Capital Markets, Asia, marking his return to the firm. Based in Delhi, Sharma will lead JLL’s hospitality practice in India and drive strategic transactions across Asia.

With nearly two decades of experience in real estate and hospitality investment, Sharma has previously held leadership roles at IHCL and SAMHI Hotels, where he played a key role in portfolio growth and M&A.

His appointment comes amid strong momentum in India’s hotel sector, with RevPAR up 10.5% year-over-year and 182 hotel signings in H1 2025 — a 16% rise from last year. JLL forecasts USD 450 million in transactions for 2025, potentially crossing USD 1 billion by 2028.

JLL Asia Pacific CEO Nihat Ercan said Sharma’s return reinforces the firm’s commitment to India’s booming hospitality market, adding that his deep sector expertise will guide clients through its next phase of growth.
