WPP and Google have expanded their partnership for five years with a $400 million investment to advance AI and cloud technology in marketing. Signed at Google’s Mountain View HQ, the collaboration will power hyper-personalised, AI-driven campaigns at scale through WPP’s AI platform, WPP Open.

Under the deal, WPP gains early access to Google’s latest AI models—like Veo and Imagen—to speed up creative production and boost efficiency. It will also enable secure, privacy-first data collaboration, rapid development of bespoke audience models, and tailored AI solutions using Gemini and Google DeepMind technologies.

The partnership extends to talent development, with Google joining WPP’s Creative Technology Apprenticeship to train over 1,000 future AI specialists by 2030. Google’s AI will also enhance WPP’s internal operations, driving smarter workflows and faster delivery.

Leaders Cindy Rose and Thomas Kurian called the deal a major step toward redefining marketing through AI innovation and real-time personalisation.
