Hyatt Regency Mumbai has announced the appointment of Puneet Baijal as its new General Manager, marking a significant leadership addition to the hotel’s executive team. With an extensive career spanning Indian and international hospitality, Baijal brings deep operational expertise and a strong understanding of luxury guest experiences.
Before taking on this role, Baijal served as the General Manager for Hyatt properties in Greater Ahmedabad, a position he held for nearly six years. During his tenure, he played a key role in strengthening service excellence, driving business growth, and enhancing guest engagement across the portfolio.
Baijal’s association with Hyatt Hotels Corporation began much earlier with an impressive tenure of nearly 13 years until 2017. His long-standing journey with the brand reflects a deep alignment with Hyatt’s culture, values, and global hospitality standards.
Following his time with Hyatt, Baijal briefly joined Roda Hotels & Resorts in Dubai, gaining valuable international exposure and insights into hospitality trends across key Middle Eastern markets. His career foundation also includes experience with The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, one of India’s most prestigious luxury hospitality brands.
With his return to Hyatt in a leadership role at one of Mumbai’s flagship properties, Baijal is expected to focus on elevating guest experience, strengthening commercial performance, and driving strategic initiatives in one of India’s most competitive hospitality markets.
