Radico Khaitan Limited has announced two leadership changes, appointing its Chief Financial Officer, Dilip K. Banthiya, to the company’s board as a Whole-time Director, designated as Executive Director and CFO, while elevating Saket Somani to Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Both appointments will take effect from October 28, 2026. The changes come as the homegrown alcobev company prepares for its next phase of premium-led growth and seeks to strengthen its financial leadership and governance.
The appointment of Banthiya to the board brings his extensive experience in finance, capital allocation and the alcoholic beverages industry into the company’s highest decision-making forum. Somani’s elevation comes with an expanded mandate covering financial planning, strategy, investor relations, capital markets and information technology. Under the new structure, Banthiya will focus on financial direction and board-level governance, while Somani will lead key financial planning and investor engagement initiatives alongside the organisation’s broader digital transformation.
Commenting on the appointments, Abhishek Khaitan, Managing Director, Radico Khaitan, said Banthiya has played a central role in the company’s transformation and will bring greater depth to its financial strategy and governance as it expands its premium portfolio. He added that Somani’s market-oriented and technology-led approach would help strengthen the next generation of financial leadership. Khaitan said the appointments combine experience at the board level with deeper leadership capabilities across the finance function.
Banthiya brings more than 35 years of experience across corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, international fundraising, equity offerings, treasury, risk management and corporate restructuring. A Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, he has been associated with Radico Khaitan for over 18 years. During his tenure, he has led the company’s finance function, strengthened governance frameworks and supported its growth through investments in capacity, brands and business capabilities. As Executive Director and CFO, he said his priorities would include disciplined capital allocation, robust governance and long-term value creation.
Somani, who has spent six years with Radico Khaitan, has worked across manufacturing finance, internal controls, operational performance and investor relations. In his new role as Deputy CFO, he aims to make finance a stronger strategic partner to the business by using technology and data to support decision-making. He said he would work closely with Banthiya and the leadership team to support the company’s growth and global ambitions. Together, the appointments are intended to strengthen Radico Khaitan’s financial function as it continues to expand its premium portfolio and invest in future growth.
