Swiggy’s affordability-focused 99 Store has become a major contributor to its food delivery business, with one in seven food orders now coming through the offering.
Launched in July 2025, 99 Store has expanded to 500+ cities and now partners with more than 1.8 lakh restaurants. Customers can choose curated meals and food items priced at ₹49, ₹79 and ₹99, with free delivery on orders above ₹49.
The platform features a mix of national QSR chains and local restaurants, including Burger King, McDonald’s, KFC, Domino’s Pizza and Taco Bell. Popular categories include bowls and thalis, South Indian breakfast, burgers, pizzas, beverages, chaats and snacks.
Swiggy said monthly orders through 99 Store have increased 2.4 times over the past year. The company said the offering has helped attract new customers, increase ordering frequency and improve retention, while enabling restaurant partners to reach more value-conscious consumers.
Sidharth Bhakoo, Chief Business Officer, Swiggy Food Marketplace, said 99 Store was built to serve affordability-focused consumers across Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. According to the company, the platform is also encouraging customers who previously ordered food online only occasionally to develop more regular ordering habits.
Restaurant partners have reported significant growth as well. Domino’s reached more than 273,000 unique customers through 99 Store in Bengaluru over nine months, while item volumes nearly doubled between the first and second halves of the period.
Taco Bell recorded a 295% increase in item sales between the two halves of its first year on 99 Store in Bengaluru, while its unique customer base increased from over 11,000 to more than 35,000.
KFC served approximately 1.17 lakh unique customers across 107 Bengaluru outlets, with item sales in the second half nearly three times those recorded in the first half.
The growth has also extended to premium and regional brands. Theobroma saw items increase by 52% and customers rise by 59% in Mumbai during the second half of the year. In Chennai, A2B recorded a 61% increase in item sales and a 42% rise in its customer base between the first and second halves, serving around 2.21 lakh unique customers across 45 outlets over 12 months.
The performance of 99 Store highlights the growing importance of affordability in shaping food delivery habits, with Swiggy pointing to stronger retention among first-time users and a shift from occasional ordering towards more frequent food delivery.
