Publicis Groupe has completed its acquisition of data collaboration platform LiveRamp for an enterprise value of $2.167 billion, marking a significant expansion of the group’s data, identity and artificial intelligence capabilities. The transaction, originally announced in May 2026, was completed following a consent agreement with the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The deal represents an equity value of approximately $2.546 billion, with Publicis acquiring LiveRamp at $38.50 per share in cash.
As part of the acquisition, LiveRamp’s RampID identity network will become part of Publicis Groupe’s technology division, alongside Epsilon and Lotame. LiveRamp will continue to operate as a neutral entity under the leadership of CEO Scott Howe, who will report directly to Arthur Sadoun, Chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe. The structure is intended to retain LiveRamp’s position as a neutral data collaboration platform while bringing its technology capabilities into Publicis’s wider ecosystem.
Alongside the completion of the transaction, Publicis has introduced a plug-and-play AI growth engine that combines LiveRamp’s enterprise clean rooms with Epsilon’s identity data. The framework is designed to help clients enrich, activate and measure their proprietary data within secure environments while retaining ownership of their data and intellectual property. It also aims to support the development and deployment of customised AI agents without creating dependence on a single technology platform.
The new framework includes pre-integrated clean room connections across 25,000 publishers, 500 technology partners, retail media networks and major large language model (LLM) platforms. By bringing these capabilities together, Publicis aims to help enterprises connect their data assets with advertising, commerce and AI applications. The integration is also expected to strengthen the group’s ability to support clients across the full consumer journey, from audience intelligence and media activation to business outcomes and measurement.
The acquisition further connects LiveRamp’s data architecture with other parts of Publicis Groupe’s technology and consulting ecosystem, including Publicis Sapient and Marcel’s agentic activation layer, alongside its global media, creative and commerce networks. The group is looking to expand its role in agentic business transformation by combining data infrastructure, identity capabilities and AI-powered activation to support clients’ evolving business requirements.
Following the consolidation, Publicis Groupe has revised its financial growth targets for FY27 and FY28. The group has raised its constant-currency net revenue growth expectation to 7–8%, compared with its earlier guidance of 6–7%. Its headline earnings per share (EPS) growth target has also been increased to 8–10%, from the previous range of 7–9%.
The completion of the acquisition marks another step in Publicis Groupe’s strategy to expand its technology-led marketing and business transformation capabilities. By combining LiveRamp’s data collaboration infrastructure with Epsilon’s identity capabilities and its existing global operations, Publicis aims to build an integrated platform connecting advertising, commerce and AI-driven business outcomes.
