Hero MotoCorp has taken a distinctly Indian approach to its festive 2026 campaign, bringing together five traditional folk art forms from across the country to celebrate the arrival of Lord Ganesha.

Running from September 14 to 25 during the Ganesh Chaturthi period, the campaign features Warli from Maharashtra, Kalamkari from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Gond from Madhya Pradesh, Pichwai from Rajasthan, and Mata ni Pachedi from Gujarat.

Rather than using folk art simply as a backdrop, Hero MotoCorp has placed its motorcycles and scooters within the artworks, allowing each region’s traditional visual language to shape the festive storytelling. The artworks have been created by artists associated with the respective traditions, with the artisans also being credited by name.

According to Aashish Midha, Head of Marketing, Indian Business Unit, Hero MotoCorp, the campaign aims to move beyond conventional festive advertising by using the occasion to spotlight India’s cultural heritage and the artists who preserve these traditions.

Adding an unconventional product-led element to the campaign, Hero MotoCorp has also collaborated with artist Mayur Jamani on an ASMR art track created entirely from the sounds of the Hero Destini’s all-metal body. Taps, resonances and tones from the scooter come together to create a festive soundscape, turning the vehicle itself into a musical instrument.

The campaign will further roll out through a regionalised print series, pairing Hero motorcycles and scooters with the distinctive visual styles of the five art traditions. Each execution connects the celebration of Bappa with the cultural identity of the region from which the art form originates.

By combining folk art, regional storytelling and product integration, Hero MotoCorp has created a festive campaign that puts Indian artistic traditions and their practitioners at the centre of the brand communication.
