Janak Sarda has been elected President of the India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) for 2026-27 at the chapter’s Annual General Meeting held on September 28.
Sarda has been associated with the IAA India Chapter’s Managing Committee for 10 years and previously served as Honorary Treasurer for two years. He has also chaired the Olive Crown Awards for four years.
At the global level, Sarda serves as Area Director, APAC, IAA Global and has received the organisation’s Global Champion Award. He is also a Special Advisor to the Chairman of the Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AFAA).
Speaking on his appointment, Sarda said it was an honour to lead the India Chapter, particularly ahead of AdAsia, and that the organisation would continue its marquee events and initiatives while maintaining its focus on business and the wider advertising and communications ecosystem.
The new leadership team includes Nandini Dias as Vice President, L V Navaneeth as Honorary Secretary, Pradeep Dwivedi as Honorary Treasurer and Abhishek Karnani as Immediate Past President.
The elected Managing Committee includes Jaideep Gandhi, M. V. Shreyams Kumar, Neena Dasgupta, Nina E. Jaipuria and Alok Jalan.
The co-opted members are Raj Kamble, Sam Balsara, Babita Barua, Rani Reddy and Anant Goenka.
The new leadership will oversee the IAA India Chapter’s activities for 2026-27, with the organisation continuing its focus on innovation, inclusivity and initiatives across the marketing and communications industry.
