Britannia Industries CEO and MD Varun Berry has resigned after a 13-year tenure with the company. His resignation, dated November 6, follows the appointment of former Birla Opus chief Rakshit Hargave as Britannia’s new MD and CEO for a five-year term.
In his letter to chairman Nusli Wadia, Berry thanked the board for its support and offered to assist Hargave during the transition.
With over 30 years in FMCG, Berry previously held leadership roles at PepsiCo India and Unilever India before joining Britannia.
