Legendary adman Neil French, celebrated for shaping Asian advertising, has died at 81 in Majorca. A British-born creative visionary, French made a lasting impact across Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand through his work with agencies like Ogilvy & Mather and WPP. Known for standout campaigns including Chivas Regal, Kaminomoto Hair Tonic and the fictional XO Beer he elevated the region’s creative standards globally. His trailblazing career earned him top honours such as the Clio and New York Festivals Lifetime Achievement Awards, the AWARD Hall of Fame and ADFEST’s Lotus Legend Award.
