Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has appointed Toshiyuki Yanagisawa as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, marking a leadership transition at the company’s Indian operations.

Yanagisawa succeeds Takuya Tsumura, who has completed his tenure in India and will move on to a new assignment within Honda’s global operations.

A long-time executive at Honda Motor Co., Yanagisawa brings extensive international experience across business strategy, sales, and regional market management. Over the course of his career, he has held several leadership roles, contributing to the company’s growth across multiple global markets.

As President and CEO of Honda Cars India, Yanagisawa will lead the company’s strategic growth initiatives while overseeing sales and marketing, manufacturing operations, and dealer network development across the country.

The appointment comes as Honda Cars India continues to strengthen its leadership team to support its long-term growth strategy and enhance its presence in the Indian automotive market.
