Julia Goldin, Chief Product and Marketing Officer at LEGO Group, has been named the inaugural recipient of the European CMO of the Year award at Cannes Lions, recognising her contribution to long-term brand building and marketing leadership.

The honour marks another milestone in Goldin’s career, which has seen her play a key role in transforming LEGO from a globally loved toy brand into a cultural powerhouse spanning entertainment, gaming, sport and popular culture.

During her tenure, Goldin has led the company’s product and marketing strategy, driving collaborations, licensing partnerships and storytelling initiatives that have broadened LEGO’s appeal across generations and international markets.

Her role combines product innovation with brand building, giving her responsibility for both the development of new offerings and the way consumers experience the LEGO brand.

Before joining LEGO, Goldin held senior marketing positions at Coca-Cola and Revlon, where she gained extensive experience in global brand management and consumer marketing.

The recognition at Cannes Lions highlights Goldin’s sustained impact on one of the world’s most iconic brands, celebrating her ability to build long-term cultural relevance rather than focusing solely on individual campaigns.
