Bigbasket has appointed Arpit Jaiswal as Chief Growth Officer, as the company looks to accelerate growth and strengthen its position in India’s online grocery and quick commerce market.

In his new role, Jaiswal will oversee product, customer acquisition, retention, and market expansion. He will also focus on improving customer engagement, monetisation, and Bigbasket’s reach across both metro and emerging markets.

Jaiswal joins the company from Google Pay, where he served as Head of Growth and Group Product Manager. At Google Pay, he worked on scaling user acquisition through partnerships and AI-led initiatives, while managing profitability, operational expenditure, and P&L for the India business.

His experience also includes driving product strategy, rewards-led growth, and improving unit economics. An alumnus of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Jaiswal is expected to play a key role in Bigbasket’s next phase of expansion.

Commenting on the appointment, Hari Menon, Founder and CEO of Bigbasket, said the company is at an important stage of growth and that Jaiswal’s experience in building efficient, scalable consumer platforms will help strengthen its market position.

Jaiswal said he sees significant opportunity in the evolving online grocery category and looks forward to helping Bigbasket deliver greater customer value, scale, and operational efficiency.
