Mehak Jaini has joined McDonald’s India (West & South), operated by Westlife Foodworld Limited, as Head of Marketing, marking a new chapter in her career as she takes charge of the brand’s marketing strategy and growth initiatives.
Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Jaini shared that her onboarding began with an immersive experience inside McDonald’s restaurants. As part of her induction, she worked alongside restaurant teams, making burgers, serving customers, packing orders, cleaning lobbies and even handling deliveries to gain a first-hand understanding of the operations that power the brand every day.
Reflecting on the experience, Jaini said the hands-on training reinforced the critical role frontline employees play in delivering the McDonald’s experience. She noted that marketing extends beyond campaigns and communications, and should also spotlight the dedication of employees whose efforts often remain behind the scenes.
Jaini also highlighted the importance of recognising and respecting delivery personnel, urging greater empathy and kindness towards those who form an integral part of the customer journey. She added that wearing the McDonald’s uniform gave her a fresh perspective on customer service, observing that frontline staff often go unnoticed when everything runs smoothly and are acknowledged only when customers require assistance.
Describing McDonald’s as one of the world’s most iconic brands, Jaini expressed her enthusiasm about contributing to the company’s next phase of growth while building on its strong legacy. She also thanked the McDonald’s team for the warm welcome and meaningful onboarding experience.
Her appointment comes as McDonald’s India (West & South) continues to strengthen its leadership team and focus on delivering customer-centric marketing, deeper consumer engagement and sustained brand growth across the region.
