Citi has named Tooba Modassir as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, overseeing HR strategy for over 34,000 employees. She also takes on the role of Banking HR Advisor for the sub-cluster. Tooba succeeds Aditya Mittal, who retired after 30 years with Citi.
With over 19 years of HR experience and a long tenure at Citi since 2008, Tooba previously served as CHRO for Citi Malaysia, where she earned multiple industry accolades. She holds a PhD in Talent Management and an MBA in HR. Citi leadership praised her strategic vision and people-first approach as key to driving the bank’s HR agenda in the region.
