Publicis Media emerged as the leading media agency group in India for net new-business value during H1 2026, recording $218 million, according to COMvergence’s New Business Barometer. WPP Media followed with $198 million, while Omnicom Media Group recorded $18 million between January and June 2026.

At the individual agency level, WPP’s Wavemaker led with $147 million in net new-business value. Publicis agencies Zenith and Starcom followed with $126 million and $71 million respectively. Initiative recorded $29 million, while Motivator registered $21 million during the period.

COMvergence assessed 62 account moves and retentions in India, representing an estimated $838 million in media spend. Domestic reviews accounted for most of the activity, with 46 local pitches representing $719 million, or 86% of the total assessed spend.

The remaining 16 global or multi-market pitches accounted for $119 million, representing 14% of the assessed spend.

Major account movements and retentions during the first half of the year included Reckitt, L’Oréal, Wipro, AMFI, Netflix, JSW Motors, Flipkart, Jaguar Land Rover, Abbott Nutrition, HP, Red Bull and Skechers.

The data provides a snapshot of media agency account activity in India during the first six months of 2026, with significant business movement across both domestic and global reviews.
