dentsu has appointed Prerna Singh Mehrotra as CEO, Singapore, alongside her existing position as Chief Client Officer, APAC. She succeeds Prakash Kamdar, who is concluding his 15-year association with the network, including seven years leading its Singapore business.

Mehrotra has been with dentsu for around a decade and has served as Chief Client Officer, APAC for the past three years. She has also held the position of CEO, Media, APAC, giving her experience across several of the network’s major clients and markets in the region.

In her expanded mandate, Mehrotra will focus on strengthening client outcomes, identifying new business opportunities, supporting teams and further developing dentsu’s position as a growth partner for clients in Singapore.

Commenting on the appointment, Yuichi Toyoda, CEO, APAC, dentsu, highlighted Mehrotra’s regional experience, client-centric approach and understanding of dentsu’s capabilities and people as key strengths for her new role.

Mehrotra takes over the Singapore leadership from Prakash Kamdar, whose tenure included significant transformation of the local business. During his time at the helm, the Singapore operation focused on bringing capabilities closer together and strengthening its organisational and leadership foundations.

With the new appointment, Mehrotra will combine her Singapore leadership responsibilities with her existing APAC client mandate, giving her a broader role across dentsu’s regional operations.
