Ahead of its October 2, 2026 theatrical release, Doraemon the Movie: New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil is rolling out an extensive 360° marketing campaign across India, spanning OOH, digital, radio, experiential, school outreach and retail.
The film will release across Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, including select 4DX theatres, giving audiences an immersive experience of Doraemon and his friends’ deep-sea adventure.
Presented in India by TV Asahi and released theatrically in association with PVR INOX Pictures, the India marketing and licensing programme is being led by Black White Orange (BWO), with strategic consulting from Happening 365 Synergies.
The campaign has established a strong presence across key markets through out-of-home and digital advertising, supported by branded buses and auto-rickshaws featuring Doraemon. A dedicated school outreach programme is also connecting the film with children and families, while Kidzania is bringing the world of Doraemon to audiences through an immersive edutainment experience.
The campaign extends across digital, radio, experiential and retail, creating multiple consumer touchpoints ahead of the theatrical launch. The strategy combines the nostalgia associated with Doraemon among longtime fans with a new cinematic experience aimed at younger audiences.
The film marks the 45th theatrical feature in the Doraemon franchise and introduces a new cinematic interpretation of the beloved character while retaining the familiarity associated with the property.
Campaign momentum was further supported by the film’s India premiere in Mumbai on September 26, which brought together producers, influencers, media personalities, children and families ahead of the nationwide release.
The India campaign is being supported by partners including Black White Orange (BWO), Fanthology, Econama, KidZania, RED FM, ANA India, Nitori Japan and Yakult Danone India, covering areas such as licensing, digital, outdoor, edutainment, radio and consumer products.
With the campaign rolling out across multiple consumer touchpoints, Doraemon the Movie: New Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil is set to arrive in Indian cinemas on October 2, 2026, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, including select 4DX theatres.
