Sony Pictures Networks India has appointed Harsh Deep Chhabra as Head – Strategy and New Business, reinforcing its leadership team as it focuses on long-term growth and transformation.

In his new role, Chhabra will report to Gaurav Banerjee and work closely with the leadership team to shape the company’s strategic direction. He will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide priorities, accelerating topline growth, improving cost efficiency and identifying new business opportunities aligned with SPNI’s future roadmap.

With over two decades of experience across media, advertising and digital ecosystems, Chhabra brings a strong blend of strategic and operational expertise. He joins SPNI from Godrej Consumer Products Limited, where he served as Global Media Head, leading integrated media strategies across markets.

Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President at Mindshare (GroupM), where he led the Unilever business for South Asia at Mindshare Fulcrum. His career also includes stints at Zee Entertainment, Turner International and Radio City, giving him a well-rounded perspective across media platforms and business functions.

His expertise spans account management, media planning and buying, analytics, advertising sales, marketing and investor relations. He has also led several data-driven digital initiatives, leveraging technology and insights to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Gaurav Banerjee said Chhabra’s deep industry knowledge and strategic thinking will play a key role in strengthening SPNI’s competitive edge and unlocking new growth opportunities.
