A new digital film featuring Vijay Sethupathi uses childhood nostalgia, family humour and changing everyday habits to tell a story around reconnecting with the familiar taste of milk.
Unveiled on September 18, 2026, in New Delhi, the film follows a light-hearted father-daughter exchange that begins with a child’s drawing, a cow and a humorous conversation about dinosaurs. The interaction eventually leads to a familiar taste from childhood, bringing back memories of simpler routines.
The film is built around the thought ‘Pazhaya Pazhakkam. Puthiya Thodakkam’, or an old habit becoming a new beginning. Rather than presenting milk through a conventional product-focused narrative, the campaign uses the taste of milk as a trigger for memories and a return to habits that may have gradually disappeared while growing up.
The story also reflects changing family routines, particularly the growing role of smartphones and screen time in children’s everyday lives. The father-daughter relationship keeps the narrative grounded in an everyday household setting, while the humour makes the transition into nostalgia feel natural.
Alongside Vijay Sethupathi, the film features Anandhi Ajay, Ardra Narayan, Arnav Vineeth, Vijayalakshmi and Karthik. It is directed by Rajesh Ramaswamy and scripted by Balaji Ramesh, with Om Prakash as DOP. Hari Prasad Uday, Farooq Mohammed and George K Antony served as creative producers.
The campaign combines family humour with emotional recall without relying heavily on sentimentality. The familiar taste of milk becomes the central storytelling device, connecting a present-day family moment with memories of childhood.
At its core, ‘Pazhaya Pazhakkam. Puthiya Thodakkam’ positions milk as more than a daily routine, using taste and memory to encourage consumers to reconnect with some of the simple habits associated with growing up.
