Ogilvy India has appointed Parvati Mohanakrishnan as Senior Vice President and India PR Lead. Based out of the agency’s Gurugram office, she will oversee strategic growth, client partnerships, and business operations for Ogilvy’s public relations practice in India.

The appointment marks Mohanakrishnan’s return to the communications industry after a year-long personal and medical break. Sharing the news on LinkedIn, she revealed that she had stepped away from her professional commitments to focus on recovery and well-being following a medical emergency that temporarily affected vision in one eye and required multiple surgeries.

Prior to joining Ogilvy India, Mohanakrishnan served as Vice President and Lead – Luxury & Lifestyle at MSLGROUP India, where she managed a portfolio of premium consumer and lifestyle brands. She also spent four years at Avian WE, rising through the ranks to become Group Business Director and leading integrated communication mandates across sectors.

Before transitioning into public relations and corporate communications, Mohanakrishnan built an extensive editorial career across publishing, travel, wellness, and lifestyle media. At Burda Media India, she held several leadership positions, including Deputy Editor, Editor of asiaSpa India, and Editor-at-Large (Wellness & Spa) for Travel+Leisure India & South Asia.

Her editorial experience also includes senior roles at Outlook Publishing (India), Lonely Planet India, Dorling Kindersley India, and Rock Street Journal, giving her a diverse background spanning journalism, content strategy, and brand storytelling.

With her blend of editorial expertise and communications leadership, Mohanakrishnan is expected to play a key role in strengthening Ogilvy India’s PR capabilities and driving the agency’s next phase of growth.
