Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios have appointed Shilpa Sharda as Head of Music, strengthening their leadership in music strategy and partnerships.

Sharda brings nearly two decades of experience across the music, media and entertainment industries. She joins the company from Believe, where she spent more than 12 years in various leadership roles, most recently serving as Director – Artist Services and M&A Labels for Believe India and South Asia.

During her tenure at Believe, she led initiatives spanning artist services, label management, business development and strategic partnerships. Her experience also includes artist management, brand partnerships, sync and licensing, catalogue acquisitions, OTT and digital music, marketing services, imprint launches, business operations and market expansion.

Prior to Believe, Sharda was part of Deezer’s India launch team, where she worked on Indian content programming, label and artist partnerships, and marketing collaborations for the music streaming platform.

Earlier in her career, she held roles at T-Series, overseeing social media marketing, digital content distribution, radio promotions and artist management. She also worked as a broadcast journalist at MH1 and as an assistant producer at 24 Frames.

In her new role, Sharda will lead music strategy for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, leveraging her extensive experience across the music and entertainment ecosystem.
