Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has appointed Mohit J Parekh as its new Assistant Digital Media Manager, marking his transition from the media agency ecosystem to the brand side.
Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Parekh said he had long aspired to work closer to the brand and gain a deeper understanding of business impact beyond advertising and media, across the broader marketing ecosystem.
Parekh joins HUL from Wavemaker India, where he served as Associate Business Director, leading digital media strategies for marquee clients including Sun Pharma and Procter & Gamble’s Whisper.
With over a decade of experience in digital media strategy, planning and client servicing across India and Canada, Parekh has worked on several high-profile brands throughout his career. At UM Canada in Toronto, he managed advertising and brand acquisition for American Express. Earlier, he held key roles within GroupM, serving as Group Head for Netflix India at Wavemaker and Digital Manager for Disney+ Hotstar at Mindshare. He began his media planning career at Interactive Avenues.
At HUL, Parekh will report to Bincymon George as part of the company’s digital media leadership team.
