Havells India Ltd., in collaboration with WPP Media, has introduced ‘Havells mYOUsic’, a long-term initiative aimed at discovering and nurturing emerging musical talent across India.
Designed as a multi-city, multi-year platform, the initiative goes beyond a traditional talent hunt by focusing on mentorship, creative ownership and original content creation. It aims to build a sustainable music ecosystem by supporting artists across singing, lyric writing, composition and music direction, with a target of producing 25 original songs within a year.
The program has already kicked off in Delhi NCR, receiving strong participation with over 250 on-ground entries and more than 100 online submissions. It has since expanded to Indore, where auditions held at Sage University saw over 200 artists participate, showcasing original work and interacting with mentors.
Havells mYOUsic addresses a key gap in the industry while talent is abundant, access to structured mentorship, rights awareness and growth platforms remains limited. Shortlisted participants will undergo intensive bootcamps covering creativity, copyright, publishing and industry frameworks, ensuring both artistic development and informed ownership.
Mukesh Kumar Jain, Vice President at Havells India, said the initiative reflects the brand’s philosophy of empowering individuals beyond products, helping artists gain exposure, direction and control over their creative work. Vinit Karnik, Managing Director – Entertainment, Sports, Partnership and Content at WPP Media, added that the initiative is designed to create long-term cultural impact by building a scalable music IP and enabling sustainable career pathways for artists.
With plans to expand to more cities, Havells mYOUsic aims to democratise opportunities in the music space while creating a strong pipeline of original, artist-owned content.
